About the Production:

Both myself and the Director and Writer of the film Julia Camara feel very strongly that there should be more female roles in film. This project was a way to focus on women both in front and behind the camera.

“Although this film is fiction, it is inspired by the famous case of the ‘Black Dahlia’ which was around at that time. A case which has never been solved.

“Some history that also inspired us was that the LAPD had the Nation’s First Police woman.

“In 1909, Alice Stebbins Wells was appointed as the nation’s first female policewoman.” — Sarah Lynn Dawson

Current Status:

In production.
