As the San Francisco International Film Festival prepared to come to a close Thursday night with a screening of Richard Linklater’s “Before Midnight,” the festival unveiled winners of the Golden Gate Awards.
Documentary feature winners are Kalyanee Mam’s Cambodian-set “A River Changes Course” and Dan Krauss’ Afghanistan War film “The Kill Team,” which recently nabbed a prize at Tribeca. Belmin Solyemez’s Turkish drama “Present Tense” received the New Directors prize, while the FIPRESCI Prize went to “Nights with Theodore,” from France.
