Despite worries that last year’s season finale of “Eastbound and Down” would also be the series finale, HBO announced today production is set to begin on the “fourth and final season” of the hit comedy starring Danny McBride and directed by David Gordon Green and Jody Hill. The series will return on Sunday, September 29 to its traditional time slot at 10pm.

Powers is “living the American Dream” with his family in North Carolina. No other details were revealed, but the season will consist of a full eight episodes.
HBO also announced the debut dates of a few other hot properties, including Larry David’s new TV movie, “Clear History.” The comedy — which David also co-wrote — features the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star as a disgraced former marketing executive looking for revenge against his former boss who made millions off an electric car company David’s character once had a stake in.
