Project of the Day: A Journalist Uncovers Mysteries About Neighbor in 'Personal Demons'

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

“Personal Demons”

Tweetable Logline:

Aden may have just found the story of a lifetime in his new neighbor, Seth, an acquitted murderer who may not be so innocent.

Elevator Pitch:

A new neighbor arrives. You’re curious, and that’s only natural. Maybe it’s his charming demeanor. Maybe it’s his flawless and devoted wife. Maybe it’s his years in prison, convicted for first degree murder.

It is the perfect mystery for Aden, a fallen from grace reporter. He sees something sinister in Seth: A released convict who may not be the innocent victim he’s playing. But in this neighborhood, Aden is the only one asking any questions. Soon his idle investigating stirs a cat and mouse game between the two men—a game neither may survive.

Production Team:

– Adam Cosco, Writer/Director/Editor
– Kenton Drew Johnson, Cinematographer

About the production:

There is great importance in films that tell moral tales (Good vs. Bad. Heroes vs. Villains.) However, it’s equally important to show films where the line between good and evil is unclear. In polarizing our world, we distance ourselves from understanding. But in shedding light on the darkness that exists in our world, we find truth, clarity and insight.
