The latest trailer for “Prince Avalanche,” the new indie comedy from David Gordon Green starring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch, has dropped. Green, who has recently directed a string of mainstream stoner comedies (“The Pineapple Express,” “Your Highness”) appears to be returning to the subtle indie seeds he sowed with “All The Real Girls.”
Alvin (Rudd) and his girlfriend’s brother Lance (Hirsch) are tasked with repainting traffic lines down an isolated country highway that has been ravaged by wildfire. As the take on the gargantuan task with only each other for company, the two men start to reevaluate their lives while finding an unlikely friendship along the way.
Rudd and Hirsch’s rapport looks promising, and the tongue-in-cheek humor really lands. See for yourself in the trailer below. The film will get a VOD and limited theatrical release August 9. It
looks like a promising late summer indie pickup, so you might wanna head
to the theaters for this one.
