The first trailer for “Thanks for Sharing,” the directorial debut “The Kids are All Right” co-writer Stuart Blumberg, has been released. The film, which premiered last year at TIFF, stars Mark Ruffalo as a sex addict and Gwyneth Paltrow as the woman who loves him, with Tim Robbins co-starring.
But Steve McQueen’s “Shame” this is not. “Thanks for Sharing” is a dramatic comedy about the 12-step program Ruffalo’s character must undergo to grapple with his carnal compulsion. NPR calls it a pleasant surprise. Featuring a surprise turn from pop star Pink, the film will be released stateside September 20th by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions.
