'Without Shepherds,' 'Somewhere Slow,' 'Furever,' 'Cut to Black,'and 'Sleeping With the Fishes' Win Big at the 2013 Brooklyn Film Festival

The 2013 Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF) wrapped on Sunday and the winners have been announced. The awards were spread across a wide pool of winners, but Cary McClelland was a big winner, taking home both the Grand Chameleon Award and Best Documentary for “Without Shepherds.” Jeremy O’Keefe’s “Somewhere Slow” won Best Narrative Feature. Best New Director went to Nicole Gomez Fisher for “Sleeping With The Fishes.” Lastly, the Audience Award went to Amy Finkel’s “Furever” and Dan Eberle’s “Cut to Black.” The festival presented 106 films from 24 different countries including 33 World Premieres, 26 USA Premieres, 20 East Coast Premieres and 22 New York Premieres. The films were selected from over 2,000 submissions coming from 111 countries.
