BYOD: Filmmaker Discusses Portraying Guatemala's Political Climate in 'I Will Be Murdered'

In the latest installment of the Bring Your Own Documentary (BYOD) interview series sees host/documentary filmmaker Ondi Timoner interviews Justin Webster, director of the documentary “I Will Be Murdered.” In the doc, Webster examines Rodrigo Rosenberg, the Guatemalan lawyer who predicted his own demise at the hands of the Mexican government, with his subsequent murder causing a national uproar. In the interview with BYOD, Webster discusses walking the fine line between informing the audience of the political situation that ultimately played a part in Rosenberg’s death without getting bogged down in explicating the many factors and issues plaguing the Central American country.
