“Never Mind the Bollocks“
Tweetable Logline:
Scott Wolf (Party of Five, Go!), written and directed by Becky Blasband
Elevator Pitch:
“Never Mind the Bollocks” is a dark comedy,
dramatic, live-action short film in the vein of “In Bruges” and “Sexy
Beast.” It is about heartache, loss and the absurd way in which the
external world reflects our inner turmoil. It also touches on the theme
of isolation and alienation immigrants feel living in the U.S. when
faced with life challenge. It is a character driven piece for high
caliber actors with a production value geared toward elevated intl.
festivals and distribution. Writer/director Becky Blasband and her cast
will deliver a funny, heartbreaking punch one is sure to remember.

first U.S. gig.

About the Production:
connecting, affecting and romancing strangers in synchronous ways.
After one suffers the shock of loss, life becomes sharply clear yet
dreamlike. It finishes the story for us. Also, I’m a child of an
immigrant (my mother), and while the U.S. is an interesting melting pot,
I’ve noticed that in times of turmoil it can seem like a purgatorial
way station for those who weren’t born here. Bollocks is also a
nostalgic look at punk rock, which is my generation’s music.” – Becky
Blasband
Current Status:
