Project of the Day: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse is Only Slightly Harder than High School

Project of the Day: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse is Only Slightly Harder than High School

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Tweetable logline:

Six teens find out that surviving the zombie apocalypse is only slightly harder than surviving high school

Elevator Pitch:

High school changes you.

FAIRFIELD is a thriller drama centered around six teens that have
nothing in common. When an unknown illness begins to infect their town,
they seek shelter in Fairfield High School’s library. These teens are
not only battling with the insecurities of fitting in, but also the
undead creatures trying to kill them. In order to escape with their own
lives, they will have to break the social hierarchy and band together to
save each other.

Surviving high school is rough; add in a zombie apocalypse and you have the nightmare that is FAIRFIELD.

Production Team:

Isaac Loftus — Co-writer/Producer

Julian Singleton — Co-writer

Mattheau O’Brien — Director

Jennifer Korte — Associate Producer

Ed Vassallo — Executive Producer

About the Production:

“I am a finance major from NYU and put my aspiration of being a producer
on hold to follow a more practical career. When Isaac our co-writer
told me about this awesome zombies meets John Hughes project he was
working on, he convinced me to forgo the corporate internships and join
FAIRFIELD as a associate producer. Even though I’m broke compared to my
peers working 80 hrs a week, I’m the one living my dream. Can they say
the same?” — Jennifer Korte, Associate Producer
