Elevator Pitch:

Ethan and Eli is a short
film about two teenage boys breaking their small town’s curfew for
minors the night before one of them deploys to Afghanistan. It’s a
semi-biographical snapshot of a brief moment in a long friendship. It’s
about war and kids who are too young to know what they really believe,
but just old enough to make decisions that affect the rest of their

The script won second place in the short category in last year’s Slamdance Screenplay Competition!

Production Team:

Writer / Director: Katrina Albright
Producer: Ben Dwork
Cinematographer: Jon Silva (DP of Danny Madden’s “Euphonia”)

About the Production:

“This film is incredibly close to my heart. It’s based on a true story that happened to my brother in our small Georgia hometown with a midnight curfew for minors. Since Eli’s character has enlisted and gone through basic training at 17, he is old enough to go to war but too young to be out past midnight in his own town. I hope to tell a personal and honest story of growing up in suburbia, and that teenage sense of not knowing much about the world but suddenly being called to declare your position in it.” — Katrina Albright
