What are some of the greatest financial perks of filming in your state? No film permits needed throughout the state. 35% off local crew and
cast 25% off of local vendors and out of state cast and crew.

What tax credits are available for productions in your state? The Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit, is a refundable, non-transferable
tax credit of 25 – 35 percent off the amount of a production company’s
qualifying expenditures that are incurred in producing a film or other
media entertainment project in Ohio.

Are there studios and soundstages that the state hosts that filmmakers should know about? No we host no studio or sound stages.

What can you tell us about talented labor in your state? Do you have robust union representation? Our union representation is growing, it is more robust in the Cleveland
and Cincinnati areas. Lots of experienced non union crew in the Columbus

Are there deals that you have with equipment, craft service or other suppliers to make these services more affordable? No we do not have deals with production suppliers.

What are some of the recent productions that produced films in your state? “Captain America II Winters Solider,” “Ides of March,” “Alex Cross,” “Fun Size,” “Toy’s House,” “Parker,” “Liberal Arts”

What cities have their own film commissions in your state? Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus

•A signed declaration of material assistance form
•A signed tax disclosure form
