Composer John Williams is set to score the next installment in the “Star Wars” franchise, “Episode VII,” to be directed by J.J. Abrams. Williams has scored all six entries in the series. Watch a video below of the Oscar-winning composer explaining how he’ll score the upcoming film.
In the video, Williams says that the story is “still unknown” to him, but that he “can’t imagine there will not be some references to the existing stories
that we know that would necessitate, and make appropriate, the use of some of
the earlier themes.”
“Episode VII,” to be penned by Michael Arndt (“Toy Story 3”), will hit theaters in 2015, with two more installments unspooling in the years following. Original stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are expected to be a part of the cast.
