Contest: Win 'Act Of Killing' Poster Signed By Executive Producer Werner Herzog & Director Joshua Oppenheimer

A film that first astounded and terrified us when we saw it at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year, and has shaken nearly every team member at The Playlist who’s caught up with it since, Joshua Oppenheimer‘s documentary “The Act Of Killing” is one of the most unforgettable cinematic experiences you’ll have this year. And with the movie expanding this past weekend to even more cities, we have a special prize for those equally taken with the film or anyone who is a die hard Herzog fan.

But first, here’s what “The Act Of Killing” is all about. The film, which won the Audience Award for Best Documentary in Berlin, is a chilling examination of the paramilitary organization that overthrew the Indonesian government in 1965 and murdered over one million people that were accused of being Communists. In what serves as the doc’s eerie masterstroke, Oppenheimer asks these men— who are fans of American cinema— to re-enact these murders, playing both the victims and the perpetrators. It’s meta stuff that’s surreal and unsettling all at the same time. Long story short, go see it. And for one lucky reader we have a poster signed by executive producer Werner Herzog and director Oppenheimer. How do you win?

Email us your name, address and describe your favourite scene from any Herzog film. Good luck!
