Update: Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah,' 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 5' Gets A Title

While our heads are currently focused on the fall festival season that’s about to kick off, some updates have arrived on a couple of blockbuster pics on the watery horizon, so let’s get right to it…

Update: Paramount say this dated information is incorrect and the date is remains the same. However, note: the info came right from their press site  (which is now changed back). First up, Paramount Pictures is moving Darren Aronofsky‘s biblical epic “Noah” to a currently unspecified summer 2014 date. The film was originally slated to wash up in theaters on March 28, 2014 and while no reason was given for the move (or an exact date), there must be some confidence to put it closer to the heart of blockbuster season. The film stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, Anthony Hopkins and Emma Watson in a more fantastical take on the familiar Sunday School story, in what is the biggest cinematic endeavor of Aronofsky’s career. We may have to wait a couple more months, but this is promising to be an event at the multiplex next year.

Meanwhile, though the behind-the-scenes drama is still being sorted out (recent reports suggest producer Jerry Bruckheimer may not receive final cut), development continues on “Pirates Of The Caribbean 5.” And while plot details are non-existent, we now have a title: “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” This Is Infamous got the word directly from helmers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (“Kon-Tiki“) during a recent interview. That’s all for now, but ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ drops anchor on July 10, 2015 in what will be a hell of a crowded summer.
