Watch: Death-Defying Dirt Bike Feats on Display in the Dazzling Trailer for '12 O'Clock Boys'

Following its premiere at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival, after which it was promptly picked up by Oscilloscope Laboratories, “12 O’Clock Boys” now has an official trailer that’s just been released in preparation for the documentary’s theatrical debut next year. And if the dazzling preview is anything to go by, audiences are sure to be in for a thrilling and harrowing ride.

The title of the film refers to a group of inner-city Baltimore dirt bike riders who take to the city streets with dazzling displays of almost balletic wheelie action, inspiring both intense passion and fandom from their members and followers as well as aggravation from the city’s police, who constantly try to clamp down on the group’s outrageous stunts. The documentary follows a young boy whose obsessive devotion to emulating and eventually joining the wheelie-popping band of outsiders seemingly holds no bounds. “It don’t matter if I fall and break my neck or anything,” the boy says at one point in the trailer. “I’m hopping back on this bike.”

“12 O’Clock Boys” is set to be released in 2014. Read Indiewire’s glowing review of the film at SXSW here.
