Following the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of “Finding Vivian Maier,” Killer Films is teaming up with Charlie Siskel and John Maloof to
develop their documentary into a narrative
feature film. The documentary uncovers Vivian Maier, a nanny who secretly took over 100,000 photographs. The photographs were eventually discovered decades later,
hidden in several storage lockers and Maier is now ranked among the 20th century’s greatest photographers. Siskel and Maloof’s documentary shows
her strange life and art, revealing never before seen
photographs, films, and interviews with dozens who thought they knew
her.
Sundance Selects acquired U.S. rights to the doc before its world premiere
