A new trailer for BBC America’s “Burton and Taylor,” starring Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West as fiery celebrity couple Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, has landed.
This particular go-round at the Liz and Dick romance focuses on the period of time when the on-again off-again lovers, following their second divorce, were working on their final stage performance together, Noel Coward’s “Private Lives” on Broadway in 1983. (Lifetime’s 2012 Lindsay Lohan-starring debacle, “Liz and Dick,” attempted to cover through flashbacks their entire 20-plus year relationship.)
The film aired in the UK back in July, and has its stateside debut on BBC America October 16.
