IFC Midnight has acquired the U.S. theatrical rights to writer-drector duo Dallas Hallam and Patrick Horvath’s horror sequel “The Pact 2,” Content Films announced.
Set in the eerie short-lived quiet of the haunted house aftermath of “The Pact,” “The Pact 2” follows June (Camilla Luddington) succumbing to a fever of lucid nightmares so vividly awful they begin to take an escalating toll on her life.
IFC Entertainment president Jonathan Sehring welcomed the news, remarking, “We are so thrilled to be working with our friends at Preferred Film & TV and Content on the sequel to ‘The Pact.’ It’s exciting to forge a continuing partnership with such a talented team.”
Producer Ross Dinerstein equally praised the development by noting, “Dallas and Patrick did a tremendous job taking the world of ‘The Pact’ to the next level, and we are thrilled that IFC Midnight is back to distribute. ‘The Pact 2’ will satisfy fans even more than the first one”
