Watch: Lance Armstrong Lies to Alex Gibney in Trailer for 'The Armstrong Lie'

Alex Gibney’s latest documentary “The Armstrong Lie” tells the unfolding story of famed professional cyclist Lance Armstrong’s life and career over the last four years. Once considered one of the greatest sports figures of all time by beating cancer and winning the Tour de France seven times, Armstrong shocked the world when an investigation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency concluded that Armstrong had used performance enhancing drugs and his team had run “the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.”

The trailer sets the tone by opening with Armstrong saying, “I like to win, but more than anything, I can’t stand the idea of losing because to me that equals death.” The promo goes on to show Armstrong confidentiality lying time after time to the press as former teammates, doctors, and professionals reveal his thuggish intimidation tactics to maintain the illusion of his celebrated rise.

Sony Pictures Classics will release the documentary November 8th. Check out the trailer below.
