I See Dead People: Watch The Trailer For Soapy Religious Drama 'Heaven Is Real' Starring Greg Kinnear

Ever since “The Passion Of The Christ,” studios have been chasing the religious dollar and that’s probably no more evident than 2014 delivering a pair of blockbuster Bible movies: Darren Aronofsky‘s “Noah” and Ridley Scott‘s “Exodus.” And while few of the God-fearing movies that have come since ‘Passion’ have been smash successes (they’ve mostly been in the vein of minor hits like “Soul Surfer“), that doesn’t mean they won’t keep trying. So here’s “Heaven Is For Real,” a movie that puts its whole premise right in the title.

Based on the best-selling book “Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back,” this supposedly based-on-a-true-story thing centers on a little kid who claims to have visited heaven, and starts freaking everyone out with details of what he saw. Naturally, devil worshippers (i.e. mean kids at school) don’t believe him and Greg Kinnear (someone find this guy a new agent) has to sort it all out while his wife, Kelly Reilly, battles a truly absurd wig of epic proportions.

Randall Wallace, the writer of “Braveheart,” directed this so maybe that’s something. Watch below and obviously this comes out at Easter. Kirk Cameron is gonna love it.
