WATCH: First U.S. Trailer for Asghar Farhadi's 'The Past,' Starring Berenice Bejo

The first official US trailer for Asghar Farhadi’s “The Past” has arrived. Starring a Cannes-winning Berenice Bejo, Tahar Rahim and Ali Mosaffa, the drama centers on an Iranian man’s return to France in light of his impending divorce, and the morally precarious situation he discovers between his former wife and her new boyfriend. Watch below.

This is Farhadi’s follow-up film to his Best Foreign-Language Oscar winner “A Separation” in 2011. “The Past” hits theaters December 20, via Sony Pictures Classics.
