Check out Martin Scorsese’s new Dolce & Gabbana ad, starring the beautiful likes of Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey. The short film, entitled “Street of Dreams,” finds the duo driving the streets of a black-and-white and enchantingly empty New York City.
Meanwhile, Scorsese’s got “The Wolf of Wall Street” hitting theaters on Christmas Day (trailer here). McConaughey stars in “Dallas Buyers Club,” currently in theaters, as real-life AIDS patient Ron Woodruff, a performance that’s generating Oscar buzz. Johansson gave a terrific turn in Joseph Gordon Levitt’s “Don Jon,” out last month, as a Jersey girl with clear priorities, and she’s the seductive voice of Joaquin Phoenix’s operating system in Spike Jonze’s “Her,” which has a limited release in December (TOH! review here). And then there’s the awesomely far-out-looking “Under the Skin,” which polarized on the fall festival circuit, and finds Johansson as a sexy but lethal alien (trailer here); it has distribution from A24, but no word on a stateside release date yet.
