Despite starring Penélope Cruz and Emilie Hirsch, somehow the romantic war drama “Twice Born” eluded us on the festival circuit. But it looks like we didn’t have to worry too much as it’s already headed to theaters and you too can now check out this film which has been brewing for a while.
A new trailer for Sergio Castellitto‘s movie has arrived, and provides an extended look at the story which centers on single mother Gemma (Cruz) who returns with her teen son to present-day Sarajevo where her son’s father died during the Bosnian conflict of the 1990s. The movie not only looks like it’s presenting an epic sweep, but the actors look to be taking on roles that require some tremendous breadth, particularly Cruz who appears in both the “present” and flashback portions of the movie. We certainly want to see if this ambitious concept can be pulled off.
