While a mini-debate sort of simmers around the interwebs about “The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug,” and its worthiness as a standalone movie—even though it’s basically a two hour, forty minute journey to open a door—The Onion gets right down to it and tells it like it is: simply put, nothing in J.R.R. Tolkien or Peter Jackson‘s world can even compare The Kingdoms Of Toranda.
