With awards season reaching its peak, stars are now out and about in full-on campaign mode, discussing and promoting their work and their roles. Variety has just unveiled the latest installment in their Awards Roundtable series, bringing together six actors – Chris Cooper, Geoffrey Rush, Colin Farrell, John Goodman, Barkhad Abdi, and James Franco – who comprise some of the most acclaimed supporting performances of the year. In this ten-minute highlight of the roundtable, the sextet of actors discuss how they got into the profession, preparation for their respective roles and the nerve-wracking nature of the audition process. In addition to giving a glimpse at the inner-working and nuances of each actors’ process, the clip also provides a measure of satisfaction that James Franco’s status as a dark-horse contender is still intact.
