Livestream the Golden Globes Foreign Directors Panel

Livestream the Golden Globes Foreign Directors Panel

The Golden Globes, like other critics groups, doesn’t have the limitations imposed on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences of accepting the official Oscar submission from each country. So they can pick and choose their favorites. On Saturday at 1 PM Pacific, check out the livestream (below) the annual foreign directors panel at the American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theater the day before the winner is announced live at the Golden Globes.

Mike Goodridge does the moderating honors: confirmed to attend are Asghar Farhadi (Iran’s official Oscar submission “The Past”) and Abdellatif Kechiche (France’s Palme d’Or-winning “Blue is the Warmest Color”) as well as Oscar shortlisted directors Paolo Sorrentino (Italy’s “The Great Beauty”) and Thomas Vinterberg (Denmark’s “The Hunt”). It should be a lively discussion.
