Watch: Primal Darkness in Trailer for British Horror 'In Fear'

“In Fear,” Jeremy Lovering’s British Horror flick premiered at The Sundance Film Festival in 2013. Filmed in Cornwall and full of creepy countryside, the story centers on a young couple driving to a remote deep-in-the-woods hotel to celebrate their two-week anniversary. But as they get lost in the woods, the vacation turns into a home/car invasion thriller.

When asked what it’s really about, Lovering, who recently directed the season 3 premiere of the BBC’s “Sherlock,” told us, “The human condition.” Read more in our interview with the director here

Styled like the psychological thrillers of old, Lovering keeps it primal, simple, and chilling from start to finish. It plays out in real time, and actors Iain De Caestecker (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”)  and Alice Englert (“Beautiful Creatures”) star as the couple lost in the woods and Allen Leech (“Downton Abbey”) also appears. Lovering often chose to keep his actors in the dark (literally) and not tell them what scare was coming next, rendering really authentic freaked-out performances.

The film opened in the UK November 15th 2013, and will arrive in the U.S. March 7th. Check out the trailer below.
