Comedy Central's Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele Join 'Fargo' for Four-Episode Arc

With the premiere of the much-anticipated “Fargo” series, inspired by the Coen brothers film, slated for April 15, FX has made an unexpected casting announcement. Key and Peele will star as Bill Budge and Webb Pepper, FBI partners who become obsessed with catching Lorne Malvo, played by Billy Bob Thornton.

“Fargo” stars an original cast and tells a different story than the film, while maintaining the same setting and tone. The Coens will also be executive producing the show. “Sherlock” star Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks (“Dexter” and “Mad Men”) and newcomer Allison Tolman lead the cast, alongside Thornton.
