Watch: Does This New 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' TV Spot Reveal A Major Spoiler?

Over the past week, there has been a lot of talk about “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” spoilers and the ethics of revealing them. Essentially, recent soundtrack listings and previews of toys (yes, that sound you’re hearing is my eyes rolling far, far into the back of my head) have possibly given up character reveals and plot points of the upcoming superhero flick. HitFix can lead you to those recent developments, because right now we want to focus on one that is coming straight from Marvel.

A new TV spot has dropped for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and usually that means the sexy highlights from the longer trailers crammed into thirty seconds. **SPOILERS AHEAD** But this one is notable for including Steve Rogers saying in voiceover, “Fury’s last words were not to trust anyone,” with a cut to someone covered in a white sheet. This is after Nick Fury’s bullet-riddled SUV gets exploded by the Winter Soldier. Is Nick Fury dead? Has Samuel L. Jackson finally run through his contractual Marvel appearance options?

A couple things to consider: Marvel knows exactly what they are doing for every step of marketing campaign, so whatever is in this TV spot is not an accident. And as we learned from “The Avengers” and Agent Coulson, no one is ever really dead. This could all be cut for dramatic effect, nothing more.

What do you think? Is another death going to be motivating factor for Captain America to kick some ass? Let us know below. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” arrives on April 4th. Watch below.
