Watch: Jason Alexander and Jerry Seinfeld Do a 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' Special As Their 'Seinfeld' Characters

Jerry Seinfeld’s web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” in which the comedian picks up a colleague in a classic car and the two of them talk shop and banter over lunch or a hot drink, has become Crackle’s breakout hit. The digital series is currently in its third year, and has been renewed for a fourth six-episode season. Over the Super Bowl weekend, Crackle unveiled a special installment entitled “The Over-Cheer,” in which Seinfeld, in his 1976 AMC Pacer, picks up not Jason Alexander but George Constanza, “my best friend for almost every day of the 1990s.” The two attempt to go to a place in which you can get tuna with cinnamon, but finding it closed for the big game, end up at Tom’s Restaurant, whose exterior served as the diner frequented by the characters on “Seinfeld.” Back in character as Jerry (from the show) and George, Seinfeld and Alexander bicker about — well, nothing, of course, with Wayne Knight making a guest appearance as Newman. The special was written by Seinfeld and Larry David and directed by David, with a 90-second version playing on air during halftime. The third season finale of “Comedians in Cards Getting Coffee” will go live this week on February 6th and will feature Howard Stern.
