This has been quite the week for fabulous news about fabulous women. Sofia Coppola’s directing “The Little Mermaid”, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are starring in a Netflix sitcom, Lisa Kudrow’s “The Comeback” is likely, uh, coming back to HBO… And now, the kicker: KATE BUSH IS DOING HER FIRST SHOWS IN 35 YEARS! That, my friends, is the sound of a generation of gay men freaking the fuck out and trying to figure out how they’ll get to London, England come late summer, where Bush will perform 15 shows collectively called “Before The Dawn.”
The shows will take place at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on August 26-27, 29-30, September 2-3, 5-6, 9-10, 12-13, 16-17, and 19. No word on whether she’ll expand beyond that (though given her fear of flying has been said to be one of the reasons she hasn’t toured since 1979, we doubt it).
