Project of the Day: ‘Curtain’

Project of the Day: 'Curtain'

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

“Curtain”

Tweetable Logline: A woman discovers her shower curtains are being sucked into a mysterious portal.

Elevator Pitch: A burnt-out nurse moves into a new apartment in search of a simpler life. But when her shower curtains begin to disappear through a mysterious portal she discovers there’s no such thing as simple in this world…or any other.

Production Team:

Director/Co-writer/Cinematographer: Jaron Henrie-McCrea:
Producer/Co-writer/AD: Carys Edwards
Producer/Grip: Vadin Lum You

About the Production:  Inspired by a mutual love of Evil Dead and The Twilight Zone, my wife and I wrote “Curtain”. We wanted to make an indie movie that broke the mould. We focused on story, a kick-ass female lead and awesome monster make-up. We saved up for 2 years to shoot it, battling weather, crazy New Yorkers and bears. But we did it. Enter Kickstarter. We have less than 10 days to raise the rest of our $20,000 goal. We really don’t want to wait another 2 years to save the money ourselves. Our movie is dope. Please help us finish it.

Current Status: Movie is shot and is in post-production. Launched a Kickstarter to pay for sound, color grading, and visual effects.
