Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.
In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.
“Unseen”
Tweetable Logline: A victim of human trafficking must choose between a life of domestic servitude, to support her family, or her own freedom.
Elevator Pitch: Adanna has been trafficked to the UK, she lives with her employer Amirah and suffers relentless domestic duties and abuse.
Adanna works for almost nothing, to send the money to her family in Nigeria.
When someone finally notices Adanna, things start to get difficult, and she has the opportunity to change everything, but is she putting her family, and herself at risk?
We want Unseen to increase awareness of trafficking & domestic servitude in the UK, to make people think, and to make a difference.
Production Team:
Luke Taylor – Assistant Director
Alex Pugh – Producer, Art Director
Leo Element – Camera, DOP, lighting
Rob Brown – Exec Producer
Jocelyn Kelly – Exec Producer
James Sykes – Exec Producer
About the Production: The film is hard hitting, based on a number of real life case studies. It’s an issue we believe doesn’t get the attention it should, and a film is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the awful things that happen right under our noses.
Current Status: Pre production; we’ve secured most of out cast & locations and have nearly reached our indiegogo goal.
