Super-Sin Me: Showtime Orders Morgan Spurlock Docuseries 'Seven Deadly Sins'

Morgan Spurlock’s headed to Showtime. Docu-series “Seven Deadly Sins,” which received a straight to series order, will explore each of the seven deadly sins, seen through famed producer/filmmaker Spurlock’s unique lens. Spurlock will host the series and produce under his Warrior Poets production banner, along with producing partner Jeremy Chilnick.

Famous for 2004’s “Super Size Me,” which got him an Oscar nomination,  Spurlock is based in New York, where he continues to be impressively prolific on both the big and small screens. Spurlock has directed, produced and distributed multiple film and TV projects, including the critically acclaimed FX series “30 Days” and the docs “Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden,” “Confessions of a Superhero,” “The Future of Food,” “What Would Jesus Buy?,” “Freakonomics” and “One Direction: This Is Us.”

Spurlock’s currently the host of CNN series “Morgan Spurlock: Inside Man,” which premieres on April 6th.

“Seven Deadly Sins” will debut Thursday, June 19th at 11 p.m. on Showtime.
