Turns out, Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent is even scarier than we thought. Disney has released a new promo spot wherein we see a young Maleficent take flight with gigantic, Angel-of-Death-style dark wings. She tells princess Aurora: “My wings were stolen from me.” This must be another reason she’s so pissed (aside from not being on the guest list for Aurora’s christening). Watch below.
Jolie covered the March 5 edition of Entertainment Weekly. In the interview, she elaborated on Maleficent’s freaky costume and makeup design; apparently her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, was the only three-year-old who would get close to the disguised Jolie during filming, so the little girl nabbed the part of baby Aurora (teenage Aurora is played by Elle Fanning).
“Maleficent” arrives May 30.
