Watch: Star Charles Dance Narrates a Lighthearted Look at How 'Game of Thrones' Came Into Being

The countless fans of HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones” must have more than a hundred questions for showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss as we approach the fourth season. Luckily, the two men have recruited Charles Dance (who plays the cruel Tywin Lannister) to narrate “Game of Thrones: Long Story Short,” a comical video depicting an abridged description of how the series came to be made.

The video features interviews with both Benioff and Weiss, in which they describe the lengthy process of getting the show off its feet with the help (and ultimate approval) of the original “Game of Thrones” creator George R.R. Martin, who penned the book. Since then, the show has juggled multiple storylines and taken on some of the most epic shooting challenges in television, spanning seven different countries and presenting an unbelievably high number of costumes, props, cast and crew members. “Game of Thrones” returns on Sunday, April 6. Check out the video here, and for an in-depth recap of the previous season, check out the longer and more serious “Politics of Power” piece below.
