From “Lethal Weapon” to “Rush Hour,” the cop comedy has never failed to mismatch its leading duo for the sake of good laughs and even better chemistry. Now it looks as though the Weinstein Company will be cashing in on the genre with its latest film, David Charhon’s French comedy caper “On the Other Side of the Tracks.”
The film, starring Omar Sy (“The Intouchables”) and Laurent Lafitte (“Little White Lies”), follows two cops from very different backgrounds as they bicker their way through the investigation of a murdered business mogul’s wife, in what the trailer indicates will be a French twist on a classic tale.
“On the Other Side of the Tracks” will be released stateside by TWC on April 4th. Check out the trailer below.
