What Travis Bickle's Time Square Looks Like Today...And Other Famous Movie Locations Then and Now

Ever wonder what happened to some of the locations from your favorite, iconic films? Luckily, there’s an app for that.

For just $1.99, Scenepast allows you to journey back in time to see scenes from more than 600 movies and TV shows — and then take a look at what they look like now. In some cases, as with Travis Bickle’s hangout in “Taxi Driver,” the changes are dramatic (the building now houses the headquarters of The New York Times) and in other cases, not much has changed (such as the Bodega, CA school house in Hitchcock’s “The Birds”).

“We thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if you could use movies and TV shows to
take you back in time?'” Michael Bernstein, who co-founded Scenepast with friend Craig Bryan, told Wired.com. “So we decided to build an app
around the theme of time travel and marry it with film and television.”

If you’re really a hardcore fan, you can even buy your own 3D printed model of your favorite film or TV location, including “The Brady Bunch” house and the “Ghostbusters” firehouse.

Check out Wired.com for a slideshow of locations and visit Scenepast here.
