Tweetable Logline: Small Church. Big problems. Bigger heart.
Elevator Pitch: Parks and Recreation meets Joel Osteen evangelism. A documentary team follows Rev. and Mrs. Todd and Tammy Lawn as they leave their suburban ministry to plant a church in the heart of the Big Apple. Just when things seem to be going their way, a power hungry mega-church pastor arrives on their doorstep-and she’s hungry for blood.

About the Production: Plant may take place in a church, but at its core, it is just a story about people. Plant is accessible to Christians and non-Christians alike, utilizing Christian stereotypes to poke fun at the foibles of human created religion without ridiculing the individual faith of Christians. I think the question that Plant seeks to answer is: “where is the disconnect between what Christians intend to do and how their actions are perceived?” Regardless, I have no intention of pushing an agenda at anyone. My only intention is to tell a good story and, hopefully, make people happy by doing so.
Current Status: Five pilot episodes filmed, two released, and ten additional episodes in production for a total of 15 episodes in our first season.
