One of more interesting aspects of the recent X-Men cinematic saga, is how the writers have had fun in tweaking and rewriting history to include the existence of mutants. It’s a thread that became prominent in “X-Men: First Class,” and with the time traveling “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” on the way, it looks like more events from past (and future) are being toyed with in pretty interesting ways.
A new viral has dropped giving a brief overview of how mutants have made their presence known in everything from the Cuban missile crisis, the JFK assassination, the disaster at Chernobyl and so much more. More intriguing is the growing power and status of Trask Industries, with Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) being photographed with Richard Nixon. It’s pretty great stuff, expanded thoroughly at 25Moments, which takes visitors through decades of events and how mutants and humans have grown further apart. Along with it (and you see below) are doctored images of the mutants in some of history’s biggest events.
Pretty cool and a nice tease before the movie drops on May 23rd.
