We are exactly one week away from the early submission deadline for the Screencraft Comedy Script Contest, which is now in its second year. Early entries are eligible for a discounted entry fee: $29 for feature-length scripts and $15 for short scripts. After May 15, Screencraft will continue accepting submissions through August 1. Entry fees, however, will increase to $49 for features and $25 for shorts.
The roster of judges for this year’s competition is made up of producers, development executives and managers from across the comedy space — including Funny or Die executive Joe Farrell, who is also a co-executive producer on Comedy Central’s @midnight, and 3 Arts manager Olivia Gerike, whose clients include Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Mindy Kaling and Louis C.K..
Prizes include cash and a range of networking opportunities with comedy professionals.
