Jean Dujardin’s upcoming crime drama “La French” has been picked up for U.S. distribution by Drafthouse Films. After all, who wouldn’t want to own the rights for a film starring France’s George Clooney?
The film is based on the real events surrounding the famous heroin scandal that hit France in the 1970s. Dujardin stars as a judge presiding over a case against a large mob boss.
Drafthouse Films will also be distributing Michel Gondry’s fantastical “Mood Indigo.” “La French,” directed by Cédric Jimenez, is currrently in production.
