Los Angeles’ “defiantly independent” Dances with Films festivals kicks off this week in Hollywood. In spirit, TOH! has the trailer exclusive for narrative feature “The Jazz Funeral,” a touching father-son travelogue set against the backdrop of sweltering, jazz-addled New Orleans.
Here is the official synopsis for the film, starring Bobby Campo and James Morrison:
The death of a family friend brings a father and son to the intoxicating city of New Orleans. Amidst the colorful vibrance of the city, a strained relationship unravels, forcing them to bury the past and let go of the present in order to rebuild their future.
“The Jazz Funeral” is based on a true story, and directed by Jesse Rosen.
