Elevator Pitch: It’s a coming-of-age story. It’s “Garden State” meets “Stand by Me” meets “Superbad” meets the third act of “The Place Beyond the Pines.”LAZY tells the story of a recent high school graduate named Kyle. Since the suicide of his best friend he has taken the back seat to life. There is something wrong with Kyle as he deals with this dark secret that he has. It’s a story about life and death, real issues that everyone faces and how the reality of life while dealing with adolescence can alter someones’ view of the world.
Production Team:
Producer – Dallas Lee
Cinematographer – Joshua Lassing
About the Production: I’ve been writing LAZY since I was 17, and it’s been a strange experience to watch the story evolve, looking at how I used to see the world and how I see it now. It wasn’t until I was at a crossroads in my life like the main character that I found LAZY to be my answer. It deals with the horrible epidemic of suicide that everyone deals with. LAZY is the story of how the friends, family, and community carry on after someone ends their life. Please take a moment and support a film that stands for more than entertainment.
