Tweetable Logline: A man with a dark past breaks parole on Halloween to go on an adventure with his eight-year old daughter.
Elevator Pitch: As Halloween begins in a suburban desert neighborhood, police round up
sex offenders and lock them in the courthouse. One man, Daniel, evades
parole and bicycles into town.There, he finds an eight-year old girl,
and promises to take her on an adventure she’ll never forget.

About the Production: I was intrigued by an article about how sex offenders were rounded up on
Halloween and locked in a courthouse in order to protect
trick-or-treaters from potential abuse. “The Tortoise and His Tail” is
about one such person. His name is Daniel and he is a recovering sex
offender.

abused, recovery is not a straight and narrow path. It is often a
winding, lonely road that hopefully, eventually leads to peace.
