Watch: Clip From ‘What If’ Shows a ‘Touching’ Moment Between Adam Driver and Daniel Radcliffe

Watch: First Clip from 'What If' Features Stars Adam Driver and Daniel Radcliffe

Michael Dowse’s newest project, recently renamed “What If” from “The F Word,” has given the world its first peak. This latest clip features stars Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan and Adam Driver in the film which also stars Mackenzie Davis and Oona Chaplin.

“What If” originally screened to generally positive reviews at Toronto last fall, and given its star power will likely only continue to gain momentum. Both Driver and Radcliffe are coming off successful roles in indie projects: “Frances Ha” and “Inside Llewyn Davis” for Driver and most notedly “Kill Your Darlings” for Radcliffe. In that film, the former child star took on the role of gay poet Allen Ginsberg, and here he appears to reprise the general concept of a young man struggling in romance but enjoying his poetry, even if here he hoped to remain anonymous. In this clip, he first meets the upbeat girl destined to reintroduce him to fun that is obligatory in these romantic comedies.

Directed by Dowse, recently noted for exploring the qualms of young adult romantics in “Take Me Home Tonight,” “What If” is set to hit theaters on August 1.
