Last week, Quentin Tarantino made his way to Cannes to close the festival with Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western “A Fistful of Dollars.” His 1994 classic “Pulp Fiction,” which celebrates its 20th anniversary, was also being honored. Still, the highlight of the controversial director’s presence was the surprise press conference he gave, now available to watch online.
In the video below, an impassioned Tarantino speaks about the death of cinema through digital, the status of his leaked screenplay “The Hateful Eight” and the possibility of releasing a four-hour version of “Django Unchained” for cable.
The video is everything you’d expect from the always-candid director, who criticizes directors for not being able to watch their own films. The man loves himself and we love him for it.
