Arab-Spring themed Documentary gets Interactive Dual-screen Experience

Recently at the Cannes Film Festival, beActive presented the completed version of theRoad to Revolutiondocumentary. The feature-length film, that
focuses on the stories of the people who have been affected or have partaken in the Arab Spring. It’s an emotional portrait of people affected by the revolutionary movement, like the
mother who lost her son in the Libyan civil war or the Egyptian who still resists in Tahrir Square.

Besides being a theatrically released film, directed by Portuguese director Dânia Lucas, the film’s full experience includes two TV
documentaries, forty Webisodes and one App for Tablets and Connected TV devices that extends the documentary experience. The interactive application
provides additional content, including material not used in the Documentary and additional life-stories, creating an integrated dual-screen experience. It
also gives an overview of the socio-economic, geographical and political development of each country and ethnicity. The full transmedia project is
available to be licensed to international distributors and VoD platforms as a full package or as separate individual content elements.

Road to Revolution”  was produced by award-winning writer-producer Nuno Bernardo , an EAVE graduate and 2014 PRODUCER ON THE MOVE at the Cannes Film Festival.

of the Irish Film Board).
