Production Team:
She has found who she is in being a storyteller and hopes to leave her mark through creating a community of collaborators seeking to tell impactful stories that increase grace and love for all people. And laugh a bunch while doing it. She is a graduate from Tisch School of the Arts with a double major in film production and dramatic writing.
EKWA MSANGI (DIRECTOR):
Ekwa has directed for some of the biggest TV shows in East Africa including The Agency (MNET) a 13-part TV series which she created, show-ran, and directed; the hit show Block-D (KBC), and most recently co- created critically acclaimed Higher Learning (NTV) along with several short films. She’s written for TV and film, and produced several shorts. Weakness, a short film she re- cently produced, has screened worldwide, including New York, Durban and Brazil and was nominated for a 2010 Kalasha Award and a 2011 African Movie Academy Award. Most re- cently she wrote, directed and produced Taharuki (Suspense), a fictional short film addressing child trafficking, set against the backdrop of the devastating post-election violence which took place in Kenya in 2007/2008. The sequel film Sweet Justice is currently in development through the Babylon International 2011 program and will be shot on location in Kenya. Kenya.
ANDREA COLEMAN (Actress):
Andrea has performed in Off Broadway productions, short films and regional theater in the Northeast. Andrea has studied with the Upright Citizens Brigade and performed with the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. Last summer, she has written, directed and starred in a short film that was screened at Lincoln Center. Andrea’s comic timing and experience makes her the perfect match for All My Friends Are Married.
ALL MY FRIENDS ARE MARRIED is a quirky comedic webseries with a blend of dry and physical humor. It highlights the joys and pitfalls of being single & living in New York City. Withjoy and irony we present the story of a women struggling to survive adulthood from her very imaginative point of view.
